When

The wedding celebrations took place over two days – Sunday 6th and Monday 7th August 2023.

Sunday included all of the usual wedding events: the ceremony, wedding breakfast, and an afterparty that took us into the evening!

Guests arrived between 12pm and 12:45pm on the Sunday, ready for a 1pm ceremony.

Everyone was also invited to a big BBQ brunch on the Monday, from 11am.

For more information on timings for both days, please see the schedule.

Where

Both days took place at Tournerbury Woods Estate, on Hayling Island in Hampshire .

The venue is most easily reached by car and there was parking on site. For full directions and more information on public transport, please see the getting here page.

Everyone was invited to camp at the venue on the Sunday night. You could either bring your own tent or rent a fancy bell tent through us; more details and alternative options are on the accommodation page.

WhatFAQs

What Is Happening With This Website?

The wedding is over and we had a fantastic time! Thank you to you all for making it such a wonderful day.

We're setting this website to "archive" mode, with a few content changes and the removal of the RSVP functionality.

We'll also be adding (shortly) a selection of photos and videos from the wedding. These will mostly be private, and you will need a log in to see them, using the same details you were invited under.

The rest of the site, though, we're leaving up for posterity. At some point it will likely move to a different domain, just in case some other Ali and Murray want to get married in the future.

Is There a Dress Code?

Put simply: wear what makes you happy!

The bride and groom will be dressed up (because it's fun!), but we encourage you to wear whatever you'll feel most comfortable in. If you'd prefer to celebrate in shorts, a kilt with a top hat, a summer dress, or a rainbow onesie, we don't mind. And fancy dress is actively encouraged, particularly for kids (and those young at heart).

Please keep in mind that it will be early August and largely outside. We have our fingers crossed for sun, but expect it to get colder in the evening. There are plenty of trees around, but personal shade may be useful, and the marquee may trap heat, so you might want to think twice about that woolen under layer. Oh, and heels may not work well on grass.

Should I Bring Anything?

Weather appropriate accessories are a good idea!

The best case scenario will be sunglasses and sunscreen, but if it looks a little damp out, chuck a brolly in the bag as well. Every part of the day can have a roof if we need it, but you'll need to dart outside to get between places.

If you're camping (and not renting from us), don't forget your tent, bedding, etc. Also, consider bringing a couple of snacks for the Monday morning to tide you over until the BBQ (if needed), and if you want any alcohol for the Monday lunch you'll need to BYOB (soft drinks, teas, and coffees will be provided).

Do You Have a Gift Registry?

All we need is you!

If you would like to chip in towards our shared future together, you can take a look at the gifts page.

I Want to RSVP But Don't Have All of the Answers

No worries at all – fill out what you can and return later to complete the rest. The form will autosave your answers, and you can log back in with your email address whenever you want.

Can I Change Part of my RSVP?

That's fine, go to the RSVP page and pop your email address into the form (if asked). You should see all of the answers you've previously provided, along with buttons to edit any section.

If you have any difficulties, drops us a message using the contact details below.

Some answers will only be editable for a limited period of time – so that we can confirm numbers with our suppliers. We'll give you a warning to confirm your choices before any hard limits are put in place.

Can I Take Photos on the Day?

We're happy for you to take photos during the day, however, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremonies.

There will be a professional photographer and we'll share these photos with all guests after the day.

I Have More Questions / Need to Get in Touch

If you have any concerns or questions then please contact us using the details below.

As we get closer to the big day(s) these details may be updated to someone from the wedding party (please don't expect us to answer our phones on the 6th). There will be plenty of people around on the day to field any questions or needs that might arise.
