How To Get Here
By Car
For a complete set of directions, please download this handy PDF from the venue: Full Directions
Most modern satnavs or map apps should get you most of the way based on the postcode (see above for links). However, the final mile is a little trickier.
Once you arrive on Hayling Island, take the central road towards the settlement of Gable Head. Near the center of Gable Head, you'll see a left turn between Hayling Garage (which normally has lots of American muscle cars parked outside) and the local Co-Op supermarket. Turn up this road (Tournerbury Lane) and head towards the golf course.
Ignore the left turn into the golf course (signposted for "all golf course traffic"), and carry on straight ahead towards the farm.
When you reach the farmyard, drive straight through towards the hedge at the far end; there should be a sign visible saying "wedding" and pointing to the right.
Please drive quietly through this section and watch out for any pot holes.
Follow the road around to the right, through the Tournerbury Estate gates, and between two ponds. Continue along the road until you reach the marquee. Car parking will now be signposted to your right, and various ushers and family members should be on hand to help you find a spot.
By Public Transport
The nearest train station is Havant, though Bedhampton, Warblington, and Emsworth are all nearby. There are direct lines from Havant to London Victoria and London Waterloo, as well as Gatwick Airport, Southhampton, Portsmouth, and Brighton.
Having arrived at the station, the number 30 bus is your best option, though the number 31 will get you most of the way as well. Both buses depart from Havant Bus Station, which is a short walk from the train.
The 30 will take you to the Tournerbury Lane stop, across the road from Hayling Garage. From here, you will need to walk up Tournerbury Lane (left at the garage), past the golf course entrance, and through the farm (see car directions for more details).
Please do let us know if you are likely to arrive by bus, as we can look into putting on shuttle runs to make that final section a little easier.
By Air
Hayling Island does not have a major, international transport hub (unfortunately), so the nearest option is Southhampton Airport, which has daily flights to various locations in Europe and the UK.
There are also direct trains from Gatwick to Havant train station, which is about a 20 minute drive from the venue itself.
Parking
The venue has a good amount of car parking, spread across two cleared areas of compacted earth and gravel. We encourage car sharing, but if you do need a parking spot let us know when you RSVP.
Guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight on the Sunday. These should be perfectly safe; the venue is a good distance from any other homes or roads, and the on site camping is close to the carpark.
There is also additional space in the campsite for people that want to bring caravans or campervans for the night. See here for more information.
Getting Home
If you are not camping at the venue on the Sunday, then please let us know
where you are planning to stay on the RSVP form.
We will look into providing a shuttlebus service that can run
people back to nearby hotels and other accommodation throughout the
evening, if enough people would use it.
If you would rather get a taxi back to your accommodation, then please
know that these must have left the venue no later than 11:30pm on the Sunday. This is in order to reduce traffic noise for the neighbours.
Similarly, if you are driving home that evening, please be as quiet as
possible.
There are taxi options available from firms in Emsworth, Havant, and Portsmouth, but we have been warned by the venue that these must be booked well in advance, and are not always reliable (hence the shuttlebus). As Hayling Island is out of the way for these firms, you should have better success if travelling back onto the mainland for the night.
